Tim Stauffer went 7-12 with a 5.53 ERA over 28 games, including 26 starts, for the Portland Beavers. In 153 innings he allowed 199 hits, walked 52 and struck out 89. The opposition hit .320 off him with 20 homers.
Stauffer pitched in one game with the San Diego Padres, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk to pick up the win over six innings of work.
2005
Stauffer went 3-5 with a 5.12 ERA in 13 games for the Portland Beavers, all as a starter. In 75.1 innings he allowed 90 hits, walked 17 and struck out 64.
After starting the 2005 season at Triple-A Portland Stauffer's contract was purchased by the Padres on May 9th. In his debut, Stauffer went six innings and allowed two runs to get his first Major League win.
2004
He had six outings in Lake Elsinore. His ERA at the time of his promotion was 1.78. Stauffer was promoted to Mobile on May 12, 2004. He pitched in several games there and was quickly shipped to Portland where he made his home for the rest of the year.
He was selected by the Padres with the fourth overall pick in June's 2003 First-Year Player Draft. |
