| On January 11th, Robby Jacobson signed a professional contract with the San Diego Padres. Jacobson was a C/DH on the 2006 Point Loma Nazarene squad. In his lone season with the Sea Lions, he hit .327 with 12 2B and three homeruns in 159 AB’s. The switch-hitting catcher finished in the top three on the team in seven different offensive categories.
Jacobson will be the only switch-hitting catcher in the organization, aside from the catchers on the big league squad. |
