| 2007
Giles hit .400 with four hits in 10 at bats on a rehab assignment with the Lake Elsinore Storm.
2006
Giles hit .263 with a .374 OBP. In 604 at bats he had 159 hiots, including 37 doubles and 14 homers while adding 87 runs scored and 83 RBI's. He also drew 104 walks while striking out 60 times. Giles stole nine bases in 13 attempts.
2005
Brian Giles hit .301 with 38 doubles, eight triples, 15 homers, 83 RBI's and 92 runs scored in 158 games for the San Diego Padres. He also drew a league leading 119 walks while striking out 64 times for an OBP of .423.
2004
Brian Giles hit .284 with 23 homers and 94 RBI last year. But his on-base percentage and slugging percentage were both far off his career averages. Homer total was down 15 from two years ago. If he doesn't do more, the trade for the native San Diegan -- from Pittsburgh for LHP Oliver Perez and OF Jason Bay -- could be remembered as one of the worst in Padres history.
Brian Giles was acquired during the 2003 season from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for Jason Bay, Oliver Perez and Cory Stewart. Giles sports a career batting average over .300 and an OBP of .417. |
