Huffman hit .264 with 126 hits in 478 at bats for the Portland Beavers. In 135 games he had 31 doubles, a triple, six homers, 53 runs scored and 62 RBIs. He drew 73 walks compared to 76 strikeouts and stole six bases in eight attempts.
Notes:
Royce Huffman, a third baseman originally drafted in the 12th round of the 1999 MLB Draft, spent the 2006 season with Triple-A Round Rock of the Pacific Coast League. He hit .299 with 25 doubles, ten homers, 59 RBI's and 62 runs scored over 98 games. He is a career .302 hitter in the minor leagues.
He is the brother of fellow prospect Chad Huffman. |
