| Notes:
The San Diego Padres signed Perez out of a tryout camp in September, 2006.
Perez led all independent pitchers with 10 wins, ranked second with a .217 opponents batting average and third with a 3.21 ERA. He led NYIT with a 3.21 ERA, 90 strikeouts and four complete games. Perez finished the season by going unbeaten in his last nine starts with an 8-0 record. Perez allowed just six earned runs over his last five starts, striking out 52 batters in 47 innings of work. Perez's 10 victories ties the NYIT record for wins in a season set by teammate Joe Esposito last season. Esposito broke former Bears standout Al Watson's record of nine wins, which he set in 1991. |
