Matt Buschmann went 3-4 with a 3.12 ERA over 15 games, including ten starts, with the Eugene Emeralds. In 60.2 innings he allowed 54 hits, walked 11 and struck out 63. He also had five wild pitches while holding the opposition to a .242 average with five homers.
Buschmann ended the year with the Lake Elsinore Storm, going 1-0 over two starts with a 3.55 ERA. In 12.2 innings he allowed nine hits, walked four and struck out five.

Matt Buschmann was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 15th round of the 2006 MLB Draft, 453rd overall.
Buschmann finished the 2006 season with Vanderbilt with a 6-4 record and 3.95 ERA. His 23 career wins at VU ties him for fourth best in school history. |
