Andy Underwood went 0-2 with a 3.47 ERA over seven games, including three starts, for the Eugene Emeralds before being shutdown on July 22. In 21.2 innings he allowed 22 hits, walked three and struck out 11. The opposiiton hit .253 off hime, .318 with RISP. He held lefties to a .167 average while righties hit .298.

Andy Underwood was selected in the fifth round of the MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres.
He went 12-3 with a 3.40 ERA. In 132.1 innings, Underwood allowed 131 hits and walked 37 while striking out 110. He was formerly a draft-and-follow of the Kansas City Royals in the 21st round of the 2004 draft. |
