Rolando went 7-1 with two saves and a 2.70 ERA over 27 appearances for the Eugene Emeralds. In 43.1 innings he allowed 34 hits, walked 19 and struck out 39. The opposition hit .218 off him with two homers.
Valdez made a spot start with Triple-A Portland throwing shutout ball over the first four innings before surrendering three runs in the fifth and taking the loss. He gave up three runs on two hits and three walks in 4+ innings.
Valdez was 0-0 with a 13.50 ERA over four appearances with the Lake Elsinore Storm. He gave up four hits and five walks in four innings.
2005
Valdez went 7-2 with a 1.03 ERA over 13 games, including 12 starts, for the Dominican Summer League Padres in 2005. In 87 innings he allowed 55 hits, walked ten and struck out 104. |
