Ben Johnson hit .263 with 11 doubles, one triple, seven homers and 22 RBI's over 51 games with Portland. He also scored 35 runs and drew 23 walks. Johnson worked from the leadoff spot during his latest stint in Triple-A.

Johnson hit .312 with 27 doubles, 25 homers, 83 RBI's and 79 runs scored in 107 games for the Portland Beavers. He also drew 51 walks and struck out 88 times for a .394 OBP.
2004
Played the entire year with the Padres Double-A affiliate, Mobile, and set career highs in homers with 23, runs scored with 80 and RBI's with 85. His 85 RBI's ranked second in the Southern League and he posted a .251 average.

Originally drafted by Cards in second round, 1999, out of Germantown (Tenn.) High School. Spent all of 2002 and first three months of 2003 with BayBears before being sent back to Lake Elsinore on July 4th.on Mobile disabled list May 19-June 25 with left hand hairline fracture. Led Mobile in total bases in 2002. Was named Padres top outfield prospect (Padres. No. 11 overall) following the 2001 season by Baseball America...Rated Padres No. 8 prospect following 2000 season.
2002 - Led Double-A Mobile with 171 total bases while ranking 2nd with 110 hits, 10 homers, 55 RBI and 65 walks.
