Mike Thompson was promoted from Triple-A Portland for the sixth time this season on September 4. The right-hander was 6-1 in Portland with a 3.76 ERA. He pitched three scoreless innings on Monday and has yielded 69 hits and 20 walks in 69.1 innings.
2005
Thompson went 6-6 with a 3.22 ERA in 18 games for the Mobile BayBears, all as a starter. In 114.2 inings he allowed 116 hits, walked 27 and struck out 68.
Thompson went 4-2 with a 3.15 ERA in nine starts for the Portland Beavers. In 60 innings he allowed 58 hits, walked 13 and struck out 25.
2004
Thompson went 10-2 with a 3.41 ERA in 35 games for Mobile. He made 18 starts and pitched in 121.1 innings, allowing 128 hits and walking 31 while striking out 69.
