Daryl Jones was named to the Midwest League All-Star team in 2006, representing the Fort Wayne Wizards.
Jones hit .242 with 107 hits in 442 at bats for the Wizards. In 121 games he collected 22 doubles, one triple, 12 homers, 50 runs scored and 58 RBI's. He also drew 46 walks while whiffing 114 times.
2005
In 73 games, Jones hit .188 with eight doubles and four homers while knocking in 16 for the Ems. He struck out 81 times and walked 21 times.
First baseman Daryl Jones was selected by the Padres in the fourth round of the 2004 Draft. He spent the entire 2004 season with the Peoria Padres in the Arizona League.
2004
Jones had a very solid debut with Peoria. He played in 36 games and batted .295. with 11 doubles, one homer and 25 RBI's. At 17, Jones showed poise and as he begins to fill out he should begin to mash the ball. |
