Jones was promoted to Portland on August 28, 2005. He hit .212, going 7-for-33 in eight games for the Portland Beavers.

2002 - Started his professional career by hitting safely in 8 of his first 9 games with Single-A Eugene, good for a .343 average (12-for-35)...was promoted to Single-A Fort Wayne August 4 after just 16 games with the Emeralds...had a season-best 4 hits in a 5-0 win August 20 vs. South Bend...following the regular season, joined Single-A Lake Elsinore for the California League playoffs.
