| Biography: |
Selected in the 17th round after his senior year at Penn State by the Padres. Was 4-5 with a 5.75 ERA in 14 games, including 13 starts, for the Nittany Lions. Struck out 49 and walked 22 in 56 1/3 innings pitched. Was drafted in the 21st round by Pittsburgh following his junior year when he once earned Big Ten pitcher of the week honors, but elected to return for his senior year.
2004
Hamilton began the 2004 year in Peoria, recovering from a broken leg and was moved up to Eugene after three appearances with Peoria. He did not have a decision and gave up one run in 4.1 innings of work.
He had eight starts with Eugene and performed well except one outing where he gave up six runs. He ended the year with a 1-1 record and a 5.86 ERA. He also made one spot start with Mobile and allowed one earned run over five innings of work to get the win in his Double-A debut.
