A tenth round pick in 2004 by the Padres out of Rice University.

Kolkhorst started the year off in Eugene before being promoted to Fort Wayne. He had an on base percentage of .500 while with Eugene and batted .352 for the Ems. He walked 22 times in 30 games and hit .476 on the road!
He batted .340 in his 12 game stint with Fort Wayne.
