Made MLB debut for Padres, 8/21/04, vs. Florida. ... Had no record and a 6.28 ERA in 11 outings, all in relief for San Diego in 2004 after splitting the first part of the season between Class AA Mobile (4-3, 3.64 ERA in 10 games, all starts) and Triple-A Portland (5-3, 3.07 ERA in 22 games, including six starts). ... Attended Lubbock Christian University and then played one year at Texas Tech, where a teammate was Indians catcher Josh Bard. ...
