Travis Chick was acquired by the Padres in a deal that sent Ismael Valdez to the Florida Marlins in July of 2004.

Chick was instrumental in pushing the Fort Wayne club to the playoffs. He went 5-0 with a 2.13 ERA for the club, allowing three earned runs over his last five starts with the team. Only once in his seven starts did he allow more than two runs. |
