was California League Most Valuable Player, Padres Minor League Player of the Year, and Baseball America . High
Class A Player of the Year. Led all of minor league baseball in RBI, total bases, and base hits and tied for lead in
doubles... played for TEAM USA in 03 Futures Game in Chicago. voted Best Batting Prospect in Cal League in Baseball America 2003 survey. Turned down scholarship offer from Baylor University to turn pro. |
