Josh Banks throws too many pitches in too short a time but keeps his team in the game. Portland’s offense doesn’t comply. Ernesto Frieri pitches well but the bullpen is hit hard. Yefri Carvajal sets two career-highs and Corey Kluber continues his fine season. Alexis Lara lasts one-third of an inning and getting one out was the lone highlight.
