Portland comes within four outs of being no-hit, but Brian Myrow breaks the hex. Gabe DeHoyos can’t hold San Antonio close, as the doors swing open in the ninth. The California League’s top-hitting team manages just three hits, as two streaks end. Nine runs are not enough for Fort Wayne, as Tyler Davis gives up back-to-back jacks.
