Mike Ekstrom had 14 days rest between starts and the well-rested young man took a no-hitter into the seventh. San Antonio prevailed after a late scare, notching a Texas League Championship in their first year affiliated with the San Diego Padres. We talked to Ekstrom postgame. Lake Elsinore’s series will go another game, as the offense did not put a runner in scoring position all night.
