The San Diego Padres Double-A San Antonio Missions team earned a Championship berth in its first season of affiliation with the big league team. The St. Louis Cardinals Double-A Springfield Cardinals swept Tulsa with an impressive 16-run barrage, posting the best record in the Texas League through the regular season.
