Affectionately called “Razor”, perhaps for his sharp ability to mold young pitchers, he was ‘promoted’ to the Arizona Rookie League Padres. It was his unique gift to get through to the teenage arms in the San Diego system that had him placed. Once there, he helped mold a group of talented Latin and American pitchers. Of course, his nickname could have simply came from his name, Dave Rajsich.
