Padres Instructional League Awards

The San Diego Padres 2009 Instructional League in Peoria, Arizona came to a close on Monday with the team going 12-4-1. As instructs came to a close, the team handed out its annual awards. We caught up with Tom Gamboa to discuss each award plus others who impressed.

Tony Gwynn MVP: Edinson Rincon After hitting .300 for the short-season Eugene Emeralds while playing most of the year at 18, Rincon was sent to instructs to work on his defense.
