Padres Prospect Report: July 30, 2009

Walter Silva is battered in a Portland loss. Luis Durango steals two bases but the Missions lose. Sawyer Carroll drives in four and has been an RBI machine. Adam Zornes gets in on the action in another Fort Wayne win. Gary Poynter takes the loss in inning 11 for Eugene. Rymer Liriano hits his seventh bomb for the AZL Padres. Adan Velazquez has a career day for the DSL Padres.

Portland (45-60) lost 6-1 to Las Vegas (Blue Jays) Walter Silva was pulled after 3.1 innings, leaving with the bases loaded. The right-hander surrendered five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three, using 76 pitches to labor through. He gave up three extra base hits, including a homer.
