Lance Zawadzki hit his fourth homer – a solo shot – in Double-A play in the third inning, his 14th across two leagues this season. He also notched a single and a walk, scoring three times and stealing a pair of bases, giving him seven in eight attempts with the Missions. Zawadzki has scored nine runs over his last seven games and sports a .348 average with runners in scoring position. His 61 RBI over two leagues ranks second in the system.
Logan Forsythe hit his first homer in Double-A, a two-run blast in the seventh. The third baseman had two hits and a walk while scoring twice. Forsythe has three straight multi-hit games and four RBI in his last four. He is hitting .319 with the bases empty and just .219 with runners on base since joining San Antonio. Forsythe has been on base in 13 of his 16 games after reaching in all but two of his first 66 games this year with Lake Elsinore.
Cesar Carrillo allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits and a walk across seven innings, striking out one. He recorded 14 ground ball outs in picking up his seventh win while giving up a solo homer. Carrillo has picked up a win in five straight starts and has allowed one earned run or less in six of his 18 outings. He has given up a homer in three of his last four but upped his grounded into a double play total to 17 on the season with another two on Tuesday. He also went 1-for-4 at the plate – getting his first hit this year.

Eugenio Reyes earned his first professional win, giving up two runs, one earned, on seven hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out three across five frames. The right-hander has given up one extra base hit across 12.1 innings. He has held the leadoff man of the inning to one hit in 10 at-bats but has walked four. Tuesday marked the first outing in four that he did not record a double play grounder.
Ulises Gutierrez picked up a valuable hold – his first – by getting out of a situation with a pair of inherited runners on. He worked an inning and one-third, giving up an unearned run on two hits. The left-hander has stranded six of the eight runners he has inherited this season. He has allowed one earned run in six frames, holding the opposition to two hits in 11 at-bats with runners in scoring position.
Manuel Nuno had one hit – a bases loaded double that cleared the bases – and scored a run on the same play thanks to an error. The first baseman is tied for fifth in the Dominican Summer League with 29 RBI and is also tied for fifth with 11 doubles. Nuno is now 3-for-9 with two walks and eight RBI with the bases loaded on the year. Seven of his two-baggers have come with men on base. It is the fifth time he has notched three or more RBI in a game.
