Padres Prospect Report: July 8, 2009

Brian Lawrence is solid again and Danny Putnam contributes. Aaron Breit was solid in a starting role but took the loss. Brad Brach has been downright nasty in Fort Wayne. Nate Freiman adds to his league leading total. Rymer Liriano hits a three-run blast to win it. Erick Ojeda gives up more runs than he had all year.

Portland (42-45) won 7-1 over Tacoma (Mariners) Danny Putnam appeared in his second game in the Padres system. After going 0-for-4 in his first game, he went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. Putnam also recorded an outfield assist.
