Cliff Floyd has not played for the Padres during the regular season after suffering a pair of injuries - one to his shoulder and another to his right knee.
Floyd tested out the knee on the edge of the infield grass, running between first and second. Never fleet of foot, Floyd labored through the drill, running gingerly as he neared second base.
Floyd went 11-for-32 this spring with the Padres, notching three doubles, a homer and five RBI across 15 games. Floyd is a career .279 hitter with 233 homers across 1,611 games while playing for seven major league teams.
Here is exclusive video of Floyd taking batting practice before the Storm game. He did not start in Wednesday's contest, seeing action as a pinch-hitter and grounding out to first.
