Justin Germano takes his third loss of the year, giving up his fifth homer. The California League plays its All-Star game. Brad Chalk notches three RBIs but they are not enough. Rey Garramone is saddled with a loss in a rough outing. Al Angelucci impresses Randy Smith who was on hand to see the Australian. Juan Chavez has a great outing but the DSL Padres lose in extras.
