The San Diego Padres announced on Friday that the club has agreed to terms with shortstop Drew Cumberland, the team’s second pick in the compensation round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft.

Drew Cumberland, the 46th overall pick in the draft out of Pace (FL) High School, was named a 2007 Louisville Slugger High School All-American after batting .518 with nine doubles, three home runs, 24 RBI, 35 runs scored and 17 stolen bases.
