Cesar Ramos went 1-0, tossing a complete game shutout in his lone start.
Ramos celebrated his 24th birthday in style on Friday, as the southpaw hurled a three-hit shutout against Midland. The Los Angeles native, who struck out four and did not walk a batter in the contest, is the only player in the league to throw two nine-inning shutouts this season. Both of them came against the RockHounds.
Matt Buschmann made one start this week, and it was a beauty. On Thursday against Inland Empire, the 23-year-old allowed a run on five hits over a season-high eight innings while whiffing eight. Buschmann rightfully earned the win in his stellar effort as the Storm defeated the 66ers, 4-2.
