Each Cal-League team will have at least one representative. The Lake Elsinore Storm will send six representatives to Stockton , the most of any team. The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes will send four players up North, while Lancaster , Inland Empire, Visalia and Modesto will each send two. Bakersfield , Stockton , San Jose and High Desert will each have one representative. The Stockton Ports coaching and training staff will be managing the team: Manager Darren Bush, Pitching Coach Garvin Alston, Hitting Coach Tim Garland, and Trainer Doc Thorson.
Highlighting the pitching staff is Modesto Nuts right-hander Brandon Hynick, who at the time of the roster release is 8-0 with a league-leading 1.44 ERA. He is the only Cal-League starter who hasn't lost a game. Brok Butcher and Darren O'Day of the Quakes, Wade Leblanc and Manny Ayala of the Storm, Dan Stange and Brooks Brown of the Oaks, Taylor Wilding of the Giants, James McDonald of the 66ers and Andrew Johnston of the Nuts fill out the Cal-League pitching staff.
The pitchers will be working with two backstops from the South Division, as Luke May from the 66ers and Adam Moore from the Mavericks make up the catching tandem.
The offense will be lead by center fielder Bubba Bell of the Lancaster JetHawks, who at the time of the roster release leads the league with a .373 batting average with 14 home runs and 55 RBI's. Bell 's teammate, Tony Granadillo, will be the team's shortstop. Granadillo is second in the league in hitting with a .354 average and has four homers and 25 RBI's. The rest of the Cal-League infield will be made up of teammates from the Lake Elsinore Storm. Kyle Blanks will be the first baseman, Matt Antonelli will be the second baseman and David Freese will be at third. Another member of the Storm, Chad Huffman, will be the team's left fielder. John Mayberry, Jr. of the Bakersfield Blaze, who leads the league with 15 home runs, will be in right field.
Both utility players--Hainley Statia and Brad Coon--come from the Quakes. Anthony Recker was named to the team as the designated hitter, and will be the lone representative from the host team--the Stockton Ports.
In all, the North Division will be represented by seven players, while the South Division will send 15 to Stockton .
