Nic Crosta to DL, Michael Wagner added

The San Diego Padres placed Lake Elsinore Storm outfielder Nic Crosta on the disabled list and brought up Michael Wagner to take his place on the roster.

The San Diego Padres acquired Michael Wagner in a trade with the San Francisco Giants, sending right-hander Alfredo Fernandez in exchange for the outfielder.

Wagner had been in extended spring training in Peoria, Arizona.

Wagner is a career .275 hitter with 65 doubles, 31 homers and 164 RBIs in 319 games.

Nic Crosta hit the disabled list with "chronic fatigue" and it is unclear when he will be available to come back. Crosta was hitting .196 with five homers and 15 RBIs in 15 games for the Storm. A week ago, he smashed three homers in the span of two games, collecting six hits over that span but had gone 1-for-12 since. Recommended Stories
