Padres option Royce Ring to Triple-A

Peoria, AZ-- The San Diego Padres today optioned left-handed pitcher Royce Ring to Triple-A Portland.

Royce Ring went 1-0 with a 4.91 ERA for the Padres this spring. In 7.1 innings he allowed four runs on ten hits, including two homers, while walking five and striking out five.

The Padres now have 39 players in Big League camp, including 32 players from the 40-man roster and 7 non-roster invitees.
