Outfielder Terrmel Sledge earned Offensive Player of the Week honors in the Pacific Coast League for the week ending August 20, the league announced.

Over a ten game hitting streak, Terrmel Sledge has seen his average rocket from .284 to .301.

Sledge hasn't just been hitting for average -- he's been knocking balls out of the park at a prodigious clip. The 29-year-old homered and drove in three runs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and his .550 slugging percentage ranks second in the PCL.

He went 11-for-25 for the week with ten runs scored, two doubles, two triples, four homers, 13 RBI's to go along with four walks and a slugging percentage of 1.160.

He homered in four straight games from August 13-16 and his five in six days. He has at least one extra base hit in each of his past eight games and is batting .386 for the month of August with 21 RBI's in 16 games.
