In addition, outfielder Josh Alley has been activated from the disabled list and outfielder Drew Davidson has been placed on the disabled list. Davidson's move to the DL is retroactive to Friday, July 7.
Hundley hit .274 with 19 doubles, eight home runs, 44 runs batted in and 29 runs scored for the Wizards. He was named the Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week from June 12 – June 18 when he hit .539 (7-for-13) with five home runs and eight runs batted in.
Lobaton joins Fort Wayne after hitting .213 with seven doubles, four home runs, 15 RBI and 12 runs scored in 42 games for the Storm. He split time last season between the Wizards, the Arizona League Padres and the Eugene Emeralds of the Northwest League. With Fort Wayne, he hit .176 (6-for-34) in nine games. Between the three teams he hit .250 (20-for-80) with five doubles and six runs batted in.
Alley, who was placed on the disabled list in early June, has been on a rehab stint with the Arizona Padres. In seven games, he was hitting .323 with six runs scored, a pair of doubles and triples and six runs batted in. Alley has appeared in 32 games with Fort Wayne this season, hitting .165 with four doubles, eight runs batted in and 32 walks.
Davidson is currently hitting .265 (9-for-34) in 11 games, including having scored six runs with three doubles, three triples and six runs batted in.
Following a three game road trip that starts on Wednesday at 7:05 PM against the Lansing Lugnuts (Toronto Blue Jays affiliate), the Wizards return home to Memorial Stadium and begin a four-game homestand at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, against the Burlington Bees (Kansas City Royals affiliate).
