Beavers sting Bees behind Young, Leone

After a loss to the same team the night before, in which the Beavers left 13 runners stranded, the team rebounded in strong fashion, highlighting their hitting depth as well as their bullpen, to defeat the Salt Lake Bees 7-4.

Starting pitcher Mike Thompson (2-0) retired nine consecutive batters before giving up a single, a double and an RBI sac-fly in the fourth. Pitching seven innings for the winning cause, he gave up four runs on five hits and struck out six.
