Chris Young was immediately slotted into the rotation after being acquired from the Texas Rangers this off-season. The Rangers' Rookie of the Year, didn't have a great spring but is eager to prove his doubters wrong.

At 6-foot-10, Chris Young towers over the opposition. His fastball doesn't hit the mitt as hard as Randy Johnson but can hit the mid-nineties. His success this year will be a big determining factor to the Padres overall success.
