Padres agree with more draft picks

The San Diego Padres today agreed to terms with six more players selected in the 2004 First-Year Player Draft and signed three non-drafted free agents.

Among those agreeing to terms were right-handed pitcher David O'Hagan (9th round), left-handed pitcher Jake Vose (13th round), shortstop Jodan Rivera (24th round), right-hander Brian Burks (25th round), shortstop Kelvin Vazquez (26th round) and right-hander Brandon Kintzler (40th round).

In addition, the Padres signed shortstop Pete White (UNLV) and outfielders Nate Whitney (Illinois State) and Brian Medley (Longwood University) as non-drafted free agents.

With today's announcement, the Padres have now agreed to terms with their top 12 picks and 28 of their 49 overall selections.
