More Tickets Available, Seattle in Town
The San Diego Padres will host the Seattle Mariners in a pair of exhibition games this weekend at PETCO Park, the first-ever Major League Baseball games to be played at PETCO Park, the new home of the Padres.
In Saturday night's game, left-hander David Wells will face off against the Seattle Mariners' Ryan Franklin. Various Padres players and coaches will be stationed at the entrances to the ballpark and will be handing out that evening's giveaway item, Padres "SD" Baseball Caps presented by Sycuan Casino and Resort. First pitch for Saturday's game is 7:05 p.m.
On Sunday afternoon, left-hander Sterling Hitchcock will take the mound for the Padres against right-handed pitcher Gil Meche. The giveaway for Sunday's game will be Padres Magnet Schedules presented by Oggi's Pizza and Brewing Company. Game time is 1:05 p.m.
Following the weekend exhibition series, the Padres will travel to Los Angeles to face the Dodgers in a three-game series April 5-7 before returning to PETCO Park for their regular season home opener on April 8 against the San Francisco Giants.
