El Paso wins another slugfest while San Antonio bounces back from an extra-inning loss. For once the Storm's bats fall quiet and today is another day, so the TinCaps lose big after winning big yesterday.

Prospect Watch:A pair of two-run home runs by Brooks Conrad and the "Anti-Hero" a.k.a Cody Decker in the eighth inning put the Chihuahuas up for good in another wild PCL game...Despaigne may be a little further from San Diego than some pundits have estimated with his 5.79 ERA in 14 innings over three starts...It was nice to see Cody Decker go long again. He hadn't hit a home run since May 3...Alex Castellanos has been a nice addition since coming over from the Dodgers with the ability to play five different positions with a .361 OBP this season.

Missions 6 - Corpus Christi Hooks 5

Prospect Watch:The Missions put up three runs in the seventh inning to bounce back from yesterday's loss extra-inning loss...Oramas had a rough outing after throwing seven shutout innings in his last outing...Ascencio was at .190 on May 1 and has now raised his batting average up to .268...Barbato is now 16 for 18 in save opportunities and has struck out more batters (33) than innings pitched at 31.

Inland Empire 66ers 3 - Storm 1

Prospect Watch:Colin Rea didn't pitch that bad but today the Storms bats just weren't up the challenge...The Storm's bullpen though continues to show up pitching five scoreless innings...Cody Hebner had his third straight outing where he didn't give up a run. In 26 games he has essentially had three bad outings, which have artificially bloated his ERA up to 3.68...Goris now has six hits in three games and has pushed his batting average up to .343. No, he's not walking with only seven base-on-balls in 246 plate appearances, but he's also hitting .343.

Prospect Watch:This is life with the TinCaps, blow out the opposition one day, get blown out the next...Bauers had his third straight multi-hit game...Third straight solid outing by Justin Livengood. In addition to having a great last name, the lanky North Carolinian has an interesting back story about how he got into pro ball...Until tomorrow with the TinCaps - because who knows what will happen.
