MadFriars' Daily Farm Report: April 25

Wisler set career marks in SA last night

Wisler didn't get the win but threw as well as he ever has. Lake Elsinore and Fort Wayne show some offense and the month long road trip for El Paso is nearly over.

Prospect Watch: El Paso lost for the fourth time in five outings as a seven run seventh inning by the River Cats broke open what had been a tie game...On Monday their month long road trip to begin the season comes to a close with the opening of their new park...San Diego native Brooks Conrad is off to a nice start hitting .310//.333/.592 while seeing time at second, third and short...Disappointing outing for Oramas. Prospect Watch:The Missions lost it in the top of the eleventh when Garces allowed a two-out double to bring home two...The good news is the Missions are pitching really, really well. Wisler recored a career best 10 strikeouts...With the exception of one bad outing Johnny Barbato has been very good out of the pen. In ten appearances he has only given up an earned run twice and is capable of throwing multiple innings...The bad news is the hitting. With three of their four top position players either injured (Cory Spangenberg and Travis Jankowski) injured or promoted (Jace Peterson) the offense just isn't there. Although C/1B Jason Hagerty is off to a nice start in his first eight games at .310/.429/.552.
