MadFriars' Daily Farm Report: September 13

Arkansas Travelers 4 - Missions 1

Key Statistics: CF Rico Noel 2-5, SB(1), 2 2B; 2B Cory Spangenberg 1-4, BB; C Austin Hedges 1-3, BB; RHP Donn Roach (L, 0-1) 5.1 IP 4 H 3 R 3 ER BB 5 Ks, HR.

Prospect Watch: Friday night's loss put the Missions one game away from elimination. The big blow came in the sixth inning when Arkansas Travelers' 1b C.J. Cron blasted a three-run home run over right-center field to break open a scoreless game....Rico Noel had a great night with a pair of doubles and a stolen base. This season Rico had 59 stolen bases and a .348 on-base percentage. Next season he may make up a very talented Triple-A outfield in El Paso of Jaff Decker and Reymond Fuentes...A tough outing for Roach who has pitched much better in the second half with a 2.59 ERA compared to the first at 4.34...tonight the Missions will send lefty Juan Oramas to the mound, who after Matt Wisler has been San Antonio's best pitcher.
