Prospect Watch: Fort Wayne's season came to an end last night as South Bend will advance to the Midwest League Championship Series. South Bend broke it open in the fifth inning after the TinCaps got the first two outs. The next two Silver Hawks' batters singled which was followed by a wild pitch by Ross to put runners at first and third in a 1-1 game. The next batter hit a three-run home run to put South Bend up and they never looked behind…After posting a 2.71 ERA in the first half Ross struggled in the second with a 4.98 ERA as Midwest League batters hit .304 off of him…Both Hunter Renfro and Luis Domoromo hit .389 in two playoff series. Mallex Smith stole 5 bases in the playoff series…Fort Wayne ended the year with a 72-67 mark.
