Prospect Watch: The Hooks beat the Missions in the ninth inning on Saturday night to force a deciding game on Sunday night at 6:05 PM. Jeremy McBryde, who has been struggling as of late in his role as San Antonio’s closer, came in at the top of the ninth in a scoreless game. McBryde walked the first batter and then made a crucial throwing error when Corpus Christi’s next batter sacrificed putting runners on first and third with no outs. Pinch-hitter Michael Burgess then singled to drive in the game’s only and deciding run. In the bottom of the ninth Adam Buschini opened the inning with a single and advanced to second on Tommy Medica’s ground out to the pitcher but neither 3B Jake Blackwood or RF Yeison Ascencio, both who have hit well in the playoffs, could not get the tying run in...The loss spoiled a great performance by Juan Oramas. In four of his last five starts he has not allowed an earned run.
