Prospect Watch: The Missions won on Friday night to take a 2-1 lead in the Texas League South Division Series. If the Missions win tonight they advance to the Texas League Championship Series...San Antonio won in the bottom of the twelfth inning when DH Rocky Gale opened the inning with a double. He was pulled for pinch-runner Everett Williams who advanced on SS Jeudy Valdez's groundout. CF Rico Noel was intentionally walked to put runners at first and third. 2B Cory Spangenberg then lifted a fly ball to center that was not deep enough to score the runner until the Hook's centerfielder attempted to double Noel off of first base and overthrew the bag allowing Williams to score...In the playoffs Rico Noel is hitting .462, which is the same as right fielder Yeison Asencio...Donn Roach did not allow an extra-base hit in the game...Another tough outing for Jeremy McBryde, who blew the save in the ninth inning. McBryde had his worst month in August with a 4.22 ERA...the last time the Missions won the Texas League Championship was in 2011.
