MadFriars' Daily Farm Report: August 13

Reymond Fuentes

Fuentes scored four runs as the T-Pads won. Unfortunately, they were the only winners as Eugene and AZL Padres were outscored 26-4

Oklahoma City Redhawks 6 – Tucson Padres 13

Key Statistics RHP Matt Andriese 4 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 0 BB, 4 K; CF Reymond Fuentes 2-3, 2B, 4 RS, 2 RBI, 2 BB; RF Dan Robertson 2-4, 3B, 2 RS, RBI; 2B Dean Anna 2-2, RS, 3 RBI, BB, 2 Sac Fly.

Prospect Watch: Lets see how much longer Fuentes can keep it going. Make it 7-16, with 8 runs scored, 2B, 2 RBI, 3 BB, 1 K, 2 stolen bases in four games. Those numbers would be a good week for any player, and a good month for Donavan Tate, but Fuentes is on fire.

For further reading on the Tucson Padres please see the Arizona Daily Star.

San Antonio Missions 1 – Arkansas Travelers 5

Key Statistics RHP Eddie Bonine CG 8 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 0 BB, 1 K; CF Rico Noel 3-5, RS, 3 SB (51); DH Robert Kral 1-1 4 BB.

Prospect Watch: After stealing only 12 bases with 10 caught stealing in 51 games in June and July, Noel has been back up to his old tricks. The center fielder has eight stolen bases in ten games in August. While he still leads the Texas League in stolen bases, Noel has yet to hit a home run and has just a .335 SLG this season.

For further reading on the San Antonio Missions please see the San Antonio Express-News.

Lake Elsinore Storm 6 – Stockton Ports 10

Key Statistics LHP Frank Garces 1.2 IP, 5 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 2 K; DH Jace Peterson 0-4, RBI, BB, SB (39); LF Jeremy Baltz 2-5, RS.

Prospect Watch: The Storm pulled a Padre-esque 2-12 with runners in scoring position. Even with Jace Peterson's 0-4 tonight he is still hitting over .380 in August and hitting .318 with a .907 OPS in 42 games since the All Star Break.

For further reading on the Storm please see the Southwest Riverside News Network.

No game for the Tin Caps

For further reading on the TinCaps' please see the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette.

Eugene Emeralds 1 –Boise Hawks 12

Key Stats: RHP Bryan Verbitsky 3 IP, 4 H, 4 ER, 4 BB, 2 K; RF Donavan Tate 2-4

Prospect Watch: DONAVAN TATE HAD A MULTI-HIT GAME!!! Ems were blown out so the sarcasm behind that first comment is the only "highlight."

AZL Padres 3 – AZL Indians 14

Key Stats: 2B Jonathan Galvez 0-3; LF Jose Urena 2-4, 2B, RBI; 1B Jake Bauers 2-4.

Prospect Watch: After missing the last three weeks, Galvez made his first rehab start in the AZL. He should play in the AZL for a few more games before heading back to Tucson.
