Prospect Watch: RF Jaff Decker left the game in the second after sliding into a wall chasing a foul ball… Despite the higher ERA and walk total, Kevin Quackenbush picked up his sixth win of the year. That total equals his total from his last two years. Quack has also only allowed one run in his last 10.2 innings.

Prospect Watch: Spangenberg has been on blast since last week as he has hit safely in his next four games. He also has eight hits, three runs, three RBI, and a home run during the streak. While his line of 286/.324/.314 is still extremely underwhelming he has an .807 OPS over his last ten games, and is hitting .307 in 30 games since the all star break.
Lake Elsinore Storm 15 – Lancaster Mavericks 10
Prospect Watch: On a night when the ball was flying in Lancaster Johnny Barbato unfortunately got his first start in nearly two years. He didn't last long as he was constantly missing with location. Maybe he was already nervous with 15 mph winds with 30 mph gusts were blowing out to right. Either way not a good first start… Despite speculation Austin Hedges was being called up to AA he was still in High-A last night as he went 3-5 with his fourth home run for the Storm.

Prospect Watch: 3B Gabriel Quintana has quietly had one of the best seasons on the Tin Caps. Quintana has only posted a .610 OPS since coming back, but has posted consecutive multi-hit games.
