Prospect Watch: After three straight dominant starts Sampson came back to earth today. He allowed more hits in five innings today then he did in the previous 20 innings. All four runs were allowed in the fourth inning on two homeruns… Six different Missions had a multi-hit game, however Everett Williams failed in his pinch hit-attempt. He has not had a hit since June 23rd.

Prospect Watch: Another disappointing start for a TinCaps pitcher. Weickel didn’t make it out of the fifth inning for the first time since a May 19th start @ Lake County. He also walked more than he struck out for the first time since April... Since the All Star Break Dane Phillips is hitting .389/.463/528

Prospect Watch: Franchy, yes it really is "Franchy", Cordero was five for five today and is one of the more interesting prospects in the desert. A 6'3" left-handed hitting shortstop from the Dominican Republic hit .270/.372/.374 but hit .354/.456/.492 in August. He's only 18 and is someone to keep an eye on.
