MadFriars' Daily Farm Report: June 10

Corey Adamson let the TinCaps

Just like the parent club, a majority of the system jumped out to large early leads, and then had to cross their fingers to hope that the bullpen wouldnt blow the lead.

Fresno Grizzlies 10 – Tucson Padres 1

Key Statistics CF Jaff Decker 2-3, 2B, RBI, BB; LF Brandon Allen 2-4

Prospect Watch: Not much prospect wise to report. The Padres managed only five hits with Jaff achieving the only extra base hit. Kloess and Boscan were on the mound but both were knocked around pretty hard. Anna, Galvez, Rivera, Sams, and C. Decker all went hitless.

San Antonio Missions 10 – Corpus Christi Hooks 4

Key Statistics RHP Matt Wisler 5 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 6 K (W, 3-2, 3.94 ERA in AA); CF Reymond Fuentes 3-5, 2 RS, 2 RBI; DH Yeison Asencio 3-4, 2 2B, RS; 1B Johan Limonta 2-4, HR (2), 3 RBI

Prospect Watch: Matt Wisler had his second consecutive solid start in AA as the Missions cruised to a 10-4 win. The Hooks could not catch up to Wisler's fastball, but were able to chase him out early as Wisler was erratic with his command early in the game. After only five innings Wisler had already thrown 95 pitches only 58 for strikes. .. Yeison Asencio continues to enjoy his promotion to AA. The outfielder has hit safely in all four AA games . All the more impressive, Asencio has yet to strike out in 16 AA at bats .

Rancho Cucamonga Quakes 5 – Lake Elsinore Storm 9

Key Statistics CF Travis Jankowski 2-4, 2B, RS, BB, SB (39); SS Jace Peterson 2-3, 3B, 2 RS, RBI, 2 BB; C Austin Hedges 2-3, 2 2B, 4 RBI, BB, SB (2)

Prospect Watch: Austin Hedges continues his offensive onslaught since coming off the DL. The top prospect has gone 10-26, with 6 2B, 6 RS, 8 RBI, 4 BB, and 5 K. Hedges went down for a wrist injury he suffered during a collision in early May. However, his swing looks a lot cleaner at the plate. Meaning that the wrist injury might have been something that was effecting him most of the year, and not just a result of the plate collision.

. Fort Wayne TinCaps 14 – Dayton Dragons 4

Key Statistics RHP Justin Hancock 6 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 1 K (W, 4-1, 1.72 ERA); LF Corey Adamson 3-5, 2B, 3 RS, 2 RBI, BB, SB (16); 2B Diego Gorris 4-5, 2 2B, 4 RS; CF Alberth Marinez 2-4, 3B, 2 RS, RBI, 2 BB

Prospect Watch: In what might very well be Justin Hancock's last start, he extended his scoreless streak to 13 innings. While on any other occasion the shutout would be the story of the night, it was the offensive barrage that stole headlines. The TinCaps scored 10 runs in the first three innings, and as the boxscore will tell you multiple TinCaps had great games. Alberth Martinez was named the TinCaps hitter of the month for May by the Padres after hitting .287/.351/.505.
