Tucson Padres 5 – Fresno Grizzlies 1
Key Statistics RHP Burch Smith 5 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 K (W, 1-0); CF Cameron Maybin 2-3; SS Dean Anna 2-4, 2B, HR (6), 2 RS, 2 RBI; 2B Jonathan Galvez 1-3, HR (3), RBI
Prospect Watch: Burch Smith made his AAA debut and despite three errors and seven hits was able to pitch out of jams and limit the damage. Smith had better location with his fastball, but when he did miss he did not pay for it the same way he did in San Diego… CF Cameron Maybin has hit safely in each of his four rehab games. What is more impressive is Maybin has struck out just one time so far in his AAA stint.

Arkansas Travelers 8 - San Antonio Missions 4
Key Statistics RHP Matt Wisler 5 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 2 K (L, 2-2); LF Kallian Sams 1-3, GS (8), 4 RBI, BB; DH Everett Williams 2-4, RS, SB (8)
Prospect Watch: After talking about Sams’ home run less streak yesterday, Sams came up with the bases loaded in the first and homered deep to left. That lead would last until Wisler fell apart in the sixth. Wisler allowed the first three runners to get on base before being replaced. While his stats up until the sixth were not bad, since being promoted Wisler’s walk numbers are up, strikeout numbers are down, and BAA is also up. Hopefully this is all about the adjustment process.

Lake Elsinore Storm 7 – High Desert Mavericks 9
Key Statistics RHP Matt Jackson 5 IP, 12 H, 8 ER, 0 BB, 4 K (L, 1-2); CF Travis Jankowski 2-5, 2B, 2 RS, SB (29); 2B Cory Spangenberg 2-5, 3B, RS, 2 RBI; SS Jace Peterson 3-5, 2B, RS, RBI.
Prospect Watch: CF Travis Jankowski continues to lead the Cal League in stolen bases as he stole his 29th base tonight. He now has an 11 stolen base lead over second place and has now stolen a base in seven consecutive games with 0 caught stealing… After having a torrid April and early May, Robert Kral has been in a slump. The catcher is just 5 for his last 39 with just 3 extra base hits. Austin Hedges took batting practice on Saturday and hopes to return from the DL later this week.

Lansing Lugnuts 5 – Fort Wayne TinCaps 6 (10 innings)
Key Statistics RHP Justin Hancock 5 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 3 K; 3B Diego Goris 4-5, 2B, 2 RBI; CF Mallex Smith 1-3, 2B, 2 RS, RBI, HBP, SB (16).
Prospect Watch: After five straight starts allowing less than two earned runs, Justin Hancock has been hit hard in back to back starts. The Defiance Ohio native was hit hard early on before settling down retiring 7 of the last 9 batters he faced… Diego Goris had a career day for him. The light hitting middle infielder sent the fans home happy with his two out 2 RBI walk off double in the 10th.
